CARDINAL SEAN BRADY has welcomed the proposed visit of Queen Elizabeth to the Republic of Ireland.
He described it as “an important religious and civic event” and “a mark of the mutual respect that exists between our two countries”. He went on to say it demonstrated the “bonds of friendship” between the Church of Ireland and Catholic Church in Ireland.
He made the remarks at the Abrahamic Religions dinner, which was hosted by the Northern Ireland Dialogue Society in Belfast last week.
