Irish Church Music Association Summer School

The 41st Annual Summer School for those involved in Church Music Ministry will be held from Monday 5th – Friday 9th July 2010 at St. Patrick’s College Maynooth.

This year’s theme is ‘Lord Jesus Christ, Gather Us Together’ and expresses something of the journey ahead as Ireland prepares to host the International Eucharistic Congress in 2012.

Director
Guest Director of the Summer School for 2010 will be Christopher Walker, a role which he has taken on many occasions over the past 30 years. He is an internationally known lecturer, composer and conductor whose works encompass children’s music for liturgy and catechism plus a wealth of material for all liturgical celebrations. Presently he lives in Los Angeles, where he is combining the roles of music lecturer at Mount St. Mary’s College and serving as director of music and worship at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He is also a member of the North American Forum on the Catechumenate. He travels frequently, giving workshops and lectures on liturgy, music and children’s worship.
