The Church of Ireland Annual New Law Term Service will be held on Monday 3 October 2011, at 10.15 am in St Michan’s Church of Ireland Church, Church Street, Dublin 7.
This year, for the first time, the congregation in St Michan’s Church for The Church of Ireland Annual New Law Term Service on Monday next will have the honour of being joined by Uachtarán na hÉireann (President of Ireland), Mrs Mary McAleese.
Also present will be An Ceann Comhairle, Mr Sean Barrett TD and The Hon Mrs Justice Susan Denham, Chief Justice.
The address will be given by The Most Revd Dr Michael Jackson, Archbishop of Dublin, and the choir will be from The King’s Hospital School, Dublin. The Archbishop will officiate, and with him will be the Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, The Very Revd Dermot Dunne and the Archdeacon of Dublin, The Venerable David Pierpoint.
The congregation will include visiting judges from Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales, as well as political leaders, members of the Irish judiciary, An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces and the Diplomatic Corps.
