TV3 presenter Alan Hughes and his long-term partner Karl Broderick tied the knot last week.
The pair celebrated their union with a host of showbiz pals at the Unitarian Church in St Stephen’s Green, Dublin.
Hughes, who co-presents TV3’s Ireland AM breakfast show, later admitted he had broken down during the service, which featured the Hallelujah Voice Choir and Brian Kennedy performing Somewhere from the musical West Side Story.
Among the star-studded guests was RTÉ’s Derek Mooney, who told the Irish Independent: “It’s great to see it, and there are so many friends here to wish Karl and Alan well.”
Outside the church, Alan Hughes said: “We could have done this anywhere but we decided we wanted this to happen here in Dublin, on the same day we met 18 years ago.”
