If you would like your church to host a fundraising concert in next UK Spring tour 2012 featuring a Russian Orthodox choral group, Fay Chilcott would be very pleased to hear from you.
Fay writes, “The HERMITAGE Ensemble ,one of St Petersburg’s finest Russian Orthodox choral groups, will be on a singing tour of churches in next spring and still have several free dates.
Whilst they normally give concerts in large churches, theatres, the Ensemble particularly love to sing in our small, intimate churches. So even if your church seats only a modest audience please don’t be afraid to get in touch. The Ensemble’s fee is negotiable according to the size of your church and the number of people who attend the concert.
The Hermitage Ensemble is a professional choir of five male singers, including a countertenor and two of the richest bass voices for which Russian music is justly famous. As you will see from their biographies in the attached leaflet, when they are not touring abroad the singers perform in St Petersburg’s finest churches and top concert venues. Their concert programme during next year’s UK tour will include spine-tingling sacred music and much-loved Russian folk songs, including Kalinka.
If you would like to listen to excerpts from their wonderfully uplifting concerts please go to their website::: http://hermitage.seenworks.com
