Tickets for the Services of Celebration
The services of Celebration are in St.Mary’s Scottish Episcopal Cathedral, Palmeston Place in an area known as the Haymarket and in St John’s Scottish Episcopal Church, on the corner of Princes Street and Lothian Road, on Wednesday 8th June 2011 at 7.30pm. The Cathedral is the largest ecclesiastical building in Scotland and unique in maintaining the daily choral tradition. St John’s is the only Episcopal Church in Scotland to hold three choral services each Sunday. They are both in the west end of Edinburgh.
Both services will be ticketed services as the total number of seats is limited to about 1600.
Many of the 1200 seats in the Cathedral have a restricted view of the altar or are in side chapel’s and have no view, but we hope you will enjoy the music. The demand for tickets has been so great that tickets at the Cathedral “sold out” several weeks ago. MU Scotland is delighted to be able to offer the additional venue of the very attractive church of St John. Chief Executive, Reg Bailey, will be attending this service as will representatives of the trustees and staff. Seats are still available at St John’s.
