Ecumenical Concert supports World Development
A cross community choir from Northern Ireland is travelling to Limerick to give a concert in support of Christian Aid Week and Trócaire at 7.30pm on Saturday 12 May.
Bishop Trevor Williams said:
“ ‘Voices Together’ will join the Limerick Villiers School choir in a programme entitled ‘Colours of the World’. ‘Poverty Over’ is a dream for all of us facing hard times. But for millions of our global neighbours their lives depend on making that dream come true. Christian Aid believes that Poverty can be eradicated. Donations from this concert to Christian Aid Ireland and Trócaire will help make this happen.
“ ‘Voices Together’, a choir of Catholics and Protestants from Northern Ireland, will provide a programme featuring songs from the Christian Church around the world. Villiers School choir will be singing extracts from their production of Les Miserables. Donations are welcome and all the proceeds will be split between Christian Aid and Trócaire. If you can’t be there, you can contribute by phoning 061 396244. Join the movement to end poverty.”
