The RCB Library has received a grant from the Esme Mitchell Trust to fund a pilot project to catalogue the Library’s extensive collections of 19th century architectural drawings of churches.
A selection of drawings will be photographed and described with the intention of making the visual and text catalogue available through the Library’s website. The work will be undertaken by Dr Michael O’Neill, an architectural historian with an IT background, who recently catalogued the Du Noyer drawings in the Royal Society of Antiquaries of Ireland.
