PM Cameron’s chosen Bible verses

The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has chosen to write two verses from Philippians for The People’s Bible project.

Mr Cameron wrote his verses at Downing Street saying,
‘I am delighted to be able to contribute to this exciting project – one that has enthused so many thousands of people right across Britain.’

The People’s Bible was launched earlier this year to mark the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.

Across the country, 20,000 people have already written out two verses of the Bible, using a digital pen that connects to www.thepeoplesbible.org, where the handwritten verses are visible within one minute.

Other high-profile backers include HRH The Prince of Wales; actors Prunella Scales and Timothy West; the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams; BBC broadcaster Jeremy Vine, and the comedian, Frank Skinner.
