Royal School of Church Music – Dublin ‘Come and Sing’

The Royal School of Church Music (Republic of Ireland) committee’s forthcoming ‘Come and Sing’ event will be held on Saturday, 11 June in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, commencing at 2.00pm.

The participating choirs will perform Fauré’s ‘Requiem’ and Mendelssohn’s ‘Hear My Prayer’ in the great surroundings of the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland. The conductor for the day will be Stuart Nicholson, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Saint Patrick’s.

The day will culminate in a concert of the works at 6.30pm.

Timetable:
2.00 pm:  Registration in Hewson Room
2.30 pm:  Piano rehearsal in cathedral
4.00 pm:  Break
4.30 pm:  Rehearsal with organ
5.30 pm:  Break
6.30 pm:  Performance (finishing 7.30pm approx)

Refreshments will be available (tea/coffee/soft drinks/biscuits) in the school hall opposite the cathedral.

Booking forms are available on www.rscmireland.com and should be returned to Mark Bowyer by Wednesday, 8 June. Please remember to bring scores if you have them or to indicate on the booking form if you require these to be supplied.

You are most welcome to invite friends and family to attend the concert which will take place at 6.30pm in the cathedral.
