The Royal School of Church Music (Republic of Ireland) committee’s forthcoming ‘Come and Sing’ event will be held on Saturday, 11 June in Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, commencing at 2.00pm.
The participating choirs will perform Fauré’s ‘Requiem’ and Mendelssohn’s ‘Hear My Prayer’ in the great surroundings of the National Cathedral of the Church of Ireland. The conductor for the day will be Stuart Nicholson, Organist and Master of the Choristers at Saint Patrick’s.
The day will culminate in a concert of the works at 6.30pm. Timetable: 2.00 pm: Registration in Hewson Room 2.30 pm: Piano rehearsal in cathedral 4.00 pm: Break 4.30 pm: Rehearsal with organ 5.30 pm: Break 6.30 pm: Performance (finishing 7.30pm approx)
Refreshments will be available (tea/coffee/soft drinks/biscuits) in the school hall opposite the cathedral.
