SCM Ireland re-launch conference

Progressive faith in a wounded world

The Church of Ireland Theological Institute, Braemor Park, Dublin 14 is the venue for this conference organised by The Student Christian Movement (SCM) Ireland , 4-6th March 2011

The Student Christian Movement (SCM) Ireland is a member of a century-old global movement, called the World Student Christian Federation (http://www.wscfglobal.org/). It’s sister organisation is SCM UK (http://www.movement.org.uk/). SCM Ireland has existed for almost 80 years, however this conference marks a re-launch of the organisation.

The conference will therefore feature a number of young adults from across the Christian spectrum, stimulating conversations, inspiring talks, a safe space to discuss difficult issues, a different view of Dublin, old friends and new, live music, international opportunities, community building, faith and culture, pressing social and political issues and much, much more…
Speakers include: Most Rev Dr Diarmuid Martin, Roman Catholic Archbishop of Dublin; Dr Andrew Pierce
Irish School of Ecumenics; Dr Mary Condren, Institute for Feminism and Religion;and Br Richard Hendrick
The Sanctuary (Holistic Wellness centre)

The conference is aimed at Third-Level students. The full cost of the conference is E75 and a Saturday day pass is E30. We encourage where possible university chaplaincies and parishes to assist with sponsorship of their student members. To register please email: scmireland@gmail.com
