John 14:15-16 If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever.
Jesus tells us that God will send us an Advocate who will abide with us and in us. The Holy Spirit “will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you.”
We follow the person of Jesus, and we praise God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. Let us also welcome the Holy Spirit to do the transforming work of grace in our lives.
The Holy Spirit nudges us to seek God. It is the Holy Spirit who comforts us when we struggle. This Advocate and Comforter “intercedes with sighs too deep for words” when we don’t know what to pray for or how to pray for it. This same Holy Spirit whispers gently, You are a beloved child of God.
