RTE Radio 1 will broadcast the closing service of the Girls’ Friendly Society World Council which was held in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin last Sunday.

Archbishop Jackson will attend the National Day of Commemoration ceremony pass4sure 000-598 at the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham at 11.00am.

St Michael’s Church, Dún Laoghaire – 8pm, organist Carole O’Connell will be joined by NSO percussionist Roger Moffatt and Anne-Marie O’Farrell, curate in Sandford and Milltown, on pedal and wire strung harps, for the premiere of Anne-Marie’s new work, ‘The Lauding Ear’. Carrick on Shannon Water Music Festival, in the beautifully restored St George’s Church, Heritage & Visitor Centre, the choir of  St Paul’s Church, Glenageary, Co. Dublin, will sing Choral Evensong under their director, Derek Verso. See Music section this site.
