1.15 – Concert: Loretto School Jazz Band
The students from Loretto School, Musselburgh, Scotland will perform a lunchtime concert in the cathedral.
The usual entrance charges apply.
8.00 – Hibernian Orchestra
‘From Russia with Love’, will be the the 3rd concert in the 30th Anniversary season for the Hibernian Orchestra where they will be joined by cellist Brian O‘Kane to perform Tchaikovsky’s Rococco Variations.
The Russian themed programme continues with the Russian and Asiatic melodies of Borodin – on the Steppes of Central Asia, followed by Mussorgsky – Prelude to Khovanshchina (‘Dawn on the Moskva River’) and concludes with Symphony no. 9 by Shostakovich.

8.00 – New Dublin Voices
Ireland’s international award-winning chamber choir New Dublin Voices joins forces with Vokalensemble Vocappella Innsbruck for a concert of sacred music ranging from ancient to contemporary.
Separately and together the two choirs undertake a gripping musical journey, from music long associated with Holy Week – including the famous Miserere by Allegri – to sacred works by living composers currently enjoying huge popularity – including Arvo Pärt, Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen – to exciting new voices, including the Irish premieres of a Crucifixus by Stéphan Nicolay of France and Regina Caeli by the English Cecilia McDowell.
