Dublin Young Members host Beauty night

A night dedicated to Fun & Friendship was organised by Dublin & Glendalough Mothers’ Union Young Members in Taney Parish Centre, Dublin.

There were a large number of girls who travelled from all over the diocese to attend this night of Beauty.

Thanks to the presence of make-up experts Bobbi Brown and skin-care experts The Body Shop both from Dundrum Town Centre, the girls received wonderful advice whilst enjoying a little pampering.  Also very popular were the nail bars.

A Feast of Desserts, kindly sponsored by Paganini, was being served all throughout the evening with Tea and Café Sol Coffee. It was here the Banter part of the evening really flourished! There were craft stands to purchase aloe vera products, jewellery, pottery, felt designs and the ever popular Mothers’ Union cards etc.

Five lucky ladies won the spot prizes but nobody left empty handed as all were given a goody bag upon arrival.  Perhaps we should explain that it was a Cadbury’s bar of chocolate named Bliss which was found amongst other goodies in each bag, including perfume from Fragrances of Ireland, which was the initial inspiration for the title of the evening.

However, as a group of girls left to go home they were quite adamant that the evening they had spent being pampered, shopping and chatting over coffee and desserts, had been, quite simply, Bliss!

The principal organisers were Jean Thompson and Sandra Knaggs.
