We may be enjoying some unseasonably warm weather right now but the cool fresh mornings and changing leaves on the trees tell us that autumn is here and winter is on its way – and that means Christmas too!
As the shops start to give their first nods to the season in catalogues and adverts, the Christmas albums are also starting to make an appearance.
To get an early start to the season, Dana Jorgensen is just completing his first Christmas EP, “Christmas and Hymns”.
The album is out on October 15 through the Mosaic Artistry Group and features traditional Christmas favourites and hymns “O Holy Night”, “O Come All Ye Faithful”, “Come Thou Fount” and “Come O Come Emmanuel”.
There is also an original song from Dana, “When Love First Cried”, that goes back to what the season is really all about.
He explains, “I wanted to write ‘When Love First Cried’ because it takes a different approach to the telling of the Christmas Story.
“This song brings insight into the difference of what Christmas was when Jesus was born and what it has turned into now.
“Jesus was born into humble surroundings in a stable where there were likely no sounds but the nearby animals.
“There were no carols
