Episcopal Church opportunities for college-age staff at Kanuga

Camp Kanuga is in western North Carolina near Hendersonville.

Camp Kanuga has Specific openings include counselors, Programs Director, Waterfront Director, Head Female Counselor, Camp Chaplain, and Climbing/Adventure Director. Counselors can be 18 and older; leadership staff should be 21 and older. Work with boys and girls ages 7-15 in a mountaintop Episcopal camp. Contact: Brad Thompson: brad.thompson@kanuga.org

Summer Staff – Kanuga Conference Center: Openings include youth program leaders, lifeguards, store clerks, chaplain’s assistant, and many more. Recreational programs are regularly scheduled for staff. Guests are primarily families and individuals from throughout the Southeast attending conference or vacation periods. Camp Bob @ Kanuga: Enthusiastic, patient role models are needed to serve as counselors to disadvantaged youth from across the Southeast. Help this special group of campers improve their self-esteem by providing a positive growth experience. Counselors live with campers and lead activities including sports, hiking, climbing, swimming, arts and crafts, canoeing, archery and performing arts. Kanuga Trailblazers: backpacking instructors needed to lead 15 and 16 year-olds on two-week outdoor adventures. Applicants should have experience leading extended backpacking trips, WFR or WFA certification and knowledge of activities such as rock climbing and high ropes courses is required for lead staff.
