Making a Difference for disabilities

“Making A Difference” is a conference being organised by faith based organisations working with people with learning disabilities.
It will take place on 8th and 9th of April in Trinity Methodist Church Knockmore Road Lisburn.

Day 1 is aimed at professionals working in the field of learning disability and day 2 is aimed at volunteers, people with a learning disability, carers and churches. Day 2 is completely free including lunch and with a choice of seminars and workshops there will be something for everyone.

The workshops and seminars include Caring for Carers, Accessible Prayer, Accessible Worship, Supporting people with Profound Disabilities, Holiday Weekends and Involving Youth. Seminars can be chosen on the day. There will also be a range of exhibitions and the event will finish with an Accessible Celebration with contributions from different organisations.
