Changing lives – Mothers’ Union Volunteers in prison

Through family – focused work they encourage dads to read to their children, to keep up with their children’s education by reading school progress reports and to also make and record bedtime stories.

Harriet a Mothers’ Union Volunteer says:
I would far rather receive the self worth after two hours in a hot, noisy prison visiting hall with children running around enjoying themselves and receive no payment, than play football for an English Premier Club and receive money that equates to my house’s monetary value every week.
