Training and contact with other leaders is keyA core aim for The Church of Ireland Youth Department is to engage with the youth worker, equipping them as the engage with young people, being more enabled in their role as a youth worker in their each specific and unique context. There are a growing number of youth workers across the Island with approximately 75 being in part time/full time posts, in intern programmes or placements from Centre for Youth Ministry Ireland based at Belfast Bible College. For the past 3 years CIYD has been in partnership with the Methodist Youth Department [DYCW] resourcing youth workers in their role through the CONNECT programme.
