January Concerts in Christ Church, Dublin

There are eight concerts from baroque to Clannad

The concert by the Hibernian Orchestra which was postponed from December due to the inclement weather, will be at 8.00 pm on Sunday January 16. The soloist is Redmond O Toole on guitar and the orchestra will be conducted by John Finucane.

Programme: Beethoven’s Symphony no 7 and Coriolan Overture, and Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto. Tickets will be available at the door priced at €15, concessions are €12 and children under 12 are €5

On Tuesday 18 Januarythe Irish Baroque Orchestra Masterworks Series commences at 8.00 pm. Baroque blockbusters from Germany, France and Italy will be presented in 4 concerts featuring 4 Bach suites, 4 Rameau suites and a selection of Vivaldi’s finest concerti da camera, the IBO’s celebrated Masterworks series is a fantastic way to start the new year. Dates: 18, 20, 22 and 23 Jan.

All concerts take place at Christ Church Cathedral Dublin, and are 1 hour in duration (no interval).
