Worldwide Anglican family supporting Queensland flood relief

Support from around the world

The Anglican Church says parishes across Queensland are doing what they can to help with the flood relief effort, ABC News reports.

The Archbishop of Brisbane, Dr Phillip Aspinall, says there have also been messages of support from around the world.

“At a time like this, we discover just what it means to belong to the worldwide Anglican family, and how valuable and important that is,” he said.

“I’ve been sharing those messages with the clergy here who are on the ground.
“It means so much to them to know that people all around the world are thinking of them and praying for them and want to do what they can to support them.”
